Sardines are named after the island of Sardinia where they were once in abundance. Pollastrini sardines are fished from the Mediterranean off the coast of Rome. They are packed with olive oil, tomatoes and salt. Serve on a slice of toast! They are great as an antipasto or tapas and can be tossed through pasta, salads and vegetables.
